Class Description
Pistol Basics Shooting Course (Pistol 101)
Pistol Basics teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and safely operating a pistol. The course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range training to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn four basic rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition components and identification; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the two handed standing positions; pistol maintenance and opportunities for skill development.
This course qualifies for the first 8 hours of the Illinois Concealed Carry Training.
